seattle sounders x lafc
First place LAFC comes into town to get further ahead in the Western Conference standings. This time, they face a team that is clinging on to a spot in the playoffs. Fortunately for Seattle, the game was a draw, so they came away with at least 1 point. LAFC had opportunities in the first half to take the lead, but none of them found the back of the net. In the 58th minute, Albert Rusnák found the back of the net to put Seattle up 1-0. This goal came about when Stefan Frei was clearing the ball from the net, but as he passed the ball to one of his center backs, there were some miscommunications and Albert took advantage and intercepted the ball for an easy goal. LAFC had an amazing opportunity in the 64th minute to tie the game up off a reflection from an initial shot on goal which bounced off of Maxime Crépeau. Maxime and his quick reaction time to get from one side of the net to the other helped save that goal as the ball was nearing inches away from the goalline. LAFC did find the back of the net off of a header from Cristian Arango in the 79th minute.
