Seattle Sounders x Minnesota United
On Saturday night, Albert Rusnák scored the game-winning goal as the Seattle Sounders upset Minnesota United 1-0 at Lumen Field.
Seattle lead most of the offensive effort in the first half. However, the Sounders could not test Dayne St. Clair too much in the first half, managing just one attempt on goal. Sang-Bin Jeong had the greatest opportunity of the half for Minnesota, but his one-time shot after a deflection near the top of the box went high and wide.
With little over ten minutes remaining, Rusnák scored what would become the game-winning goal for Seattle from well outside the 18-yard box. Fredy Montero sent a perfect ball to Rusnák at the top of the box, where he would then slam home for the lead.
As both sides looked to make their mark on the match in the final few minutes, neither could change the 1-0 scoreline. As the final whistle blew, Seattle walked away with all three points.
