Philadelphia Union x Minnesota United
In a commanding display at Subaru Park, the Philadelphia Union maintained their unbeaten streak in MLS play with a convincing 2-0 victory over Minnesota United.
The Union took an early lead in the 16th minute when Daniel Gazdag capitalized on a corner kick delivered by Kai Wagner, slotting the ball into the net with precision. Despite Minnesota's attempts to mount a response, the Union defense held firm, limiting the Loons to just three shots on goal.
Philadelphia extended their lead late in the game, as Julian Carranza found the back of the net in the 84th minute after a flick-on from team captain Alejandro Bedoya. This goal sealed the victory for the Union, securing their first clean sheet in MLS play this season.
The match also saw notable performances from Jack McGlynn and Quinn Sullivan in midfield, as well as a solid defensive display from Nate Harriel, Jakob Glesnes, Jack Elliott, and Kai Wagner.
The Union's relentless attacking presence, combined with their disciplined defense, proved too much for Minnesota to handle, as Philadelphia claimed all three points in front of their passionate home crowd.
With this win, the Philadelphia Union continue their strong start to the season and look to maintain their momentum as they aim for further success in MLS.
