Vancouver Whitecaps FC x Inter Miami
Inter Miami CF extended its unbeaten run to 10 games in MLS regular season action, a club record, with a 2-1 victory over Vancouver Whitecaps FC at BC Place. The win also marked their fifth consecutive unbeaten road match, another club milestone. Robert Taylor led the team with a goal and an assist, while Leonardo Campana added another goal to secure the victory.
Inter Miami made four changes from their previous lineup against D.C. United. Drake Callender started in goal, with a defensive line of Marcelo Weigandt, Tomás Avilés, Sergii Kryvtsov, and Jordi Alba. The midfield consisted of Julian Gressel, Yannick Bright, and Benjamin Cremaschi, while Taylor and Matías Rojas supported striker Campana in attack. Notably, Bright made his second start of the season, and Campana returned to the starting lineup following his recent heroics.
The first goal came in the 38th minute when Alba played a precise pass to Taylor, who beat his defender and scored with a powerful right-footed shot. Taylor then assisted Campana in the 54th minute with a well-executed cutback pass, leading to Campana's first-time finish. Vancouver managed to pull one back in the 72nd minute with a penalty from Ryan Gauld, but Inter Miami's defense held firm to secure the 2-1 win.
