Real Salt Lake continue to climb up the league table. From one week to the next this squad from the northeast continues to turn heads with result after result. This weekend was no doubt. Starting off the weekend’s action Salt Lake was poised to take on SKC since later that day Rio Tinto would need to be shared with their temporary roommates the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Many anticipated a match that would be close with the powerhouse that SKC is in the Western Conference. However the 3-0 scoreline would change minds when the final whistle had blown. While Pulido had scored early on for SKC in this match it was no competition when compared to RSL’s three goals that they responded with from Kreilach and the two goal brace from Rubio Rubin. After the full 90 blew Real Salt Lake was on cloud nine.

Real Salt Lake continues to work their way up the table with their second one in two games landing them solidly in third place for the early season standings. They’ll look to continue this form next week as they take on the San Jose Earthquakes while Kansas will play hosts to Austin FC.
