USWNT x SPAIN - She Believes Cup 2020

@julieertz made her case for why she has and should be the blueprint for what every USWNT player strives to be with her incredible performance Sunday night. Inside a sold out Red Bull Arena the USWNT took on Spain for what could have been first place in the cup. The action was end to end with both keepers making clutch saves and the midfield and defensive battles heavy and hard hitting. Both teams seemed to be edging towards the first goal. However, the breakthrough would come from the most likely target. When the ball left Christen Press’ foot it was destined for Julie’s head. The second it went off the finger tips of the keeper and rippled the back of the net the stadium would erupt. The women essentially secured the She Believes Cup with that win and a Japan loss earlier that day. With Julie’s standout night and Crystal Dunn’s well deserved 100 caps the night was nothing short of eventful.
