portland timbers x sporting Kansas city
This game had Portland writing all over it. Portland set its own franchise record with 7 goals. Two players on the Sounders had 2 goals, Sebastián Blanco (46', 52') and Nathan Uiliam Fogaça (56', 69'). This was Fogaca's MLS debut. Bill Tuiloma (12') started it off with his goal in the 12th minute. The second half is where Portland let loose and dominated the game and it all started with Blanco who scored within the first minute. That was his first goal of the season. Six minutes later he scores again on a breakaway. Frogaco would then score his first MLS goal in the 46th minute. Johnny Russel would get a goal for Sporting Kansas City in the 57th minute. Fogaco scored again in the 69th minute to make the score 5-1. Marinos Tzionis (75') scores for Sporting KC next in the 75th minute after Portland went down a man by a red card. This was short-lived because a mere 4 minutes later in the 78th minute, Sporting KC got caught with a red and therefore the game would play on as 10v10. Marvin Loría (88') and Santiago Moreno (90'+2') scored the final two goals for Portland.
