The first half was all Nashville as they managed to score three times and completely shut out Colorado. Nashville's three goals all came within ten minutes and all came before the 20th-minute mark. CJ Sapong started it off by scoring a goal in the 8th minute by way of being in the right place at the right time. The next two goals in the first half were by Hany Mukhtar in the 15th and 17th minutes. Mukhtar had a chance to make it a three-goal night in the 21st minute but the defensive pressure Colorado had on him disrupted his play enough to negate the goal from happening. Colorado did get one goal in the second half, a rocket of a ball by Diego Rubio off of a free-kick. Nashville would wind up winning this game and took home all three valuable points on the road.
