Seattle sounders x Vancouver whitecaps
Seattle came away with all three points and a 4-0 win. Fredy Montero almost had the first goal of the game for the Sounders. Instead, he came away with a penalty kick awarded to Seattle due to the goalie tripping the player. This led to a PK goal by Nicolas Lodeiro in the 5th minute. Raul Ruidiaz had the next set of goals, one in the 28th minute and the other one in the 54th minute. In the 37th minute, Vancouver had an opportunity to get a goal off of a corner kick, but the ball was just too short and no one was there to kick it in. Montero had an amazing shot on goal in the 51st minute, which would have been one of the top goals this season had he made it. The second goal by Ruidiaz had everyone sleeping on him as he found his way behind the defenders to tap it in. Ruidiaz had an opportunity for a hat trick when a ball was intercepted by Seattle, but as the shot was nearing the net, a Vancouver defender came in a nick of time to kick it out of bounds. The fourth and final goal came in the 89th minute by Alex Roldán.
