Seattle Reign FC x Orlando Pride
The Orlando Pride (7-0-3, 24 points) continued their impressive run, tying a National Women’s Soccer League record with their seventh consecutive win by defeating Seattle Reign FC (2-7-1, 7 points) 3-2 on the road. Barbra Banda's brace and Emily Sams' first career goal led the Pride to victory, maintaining their unbeaten start through ten games this season.
Orlando started strong with Sams opening the scoring in the 9th minute, marking her first professional goal. Banda doubled the lead in the 18th minute with a header assisted by Adriana. Despite Seattle’s efforts to equalize with goals from Angharad James-Turner and Bethany Balcer, Banda secured the win with her second goal in the 58th minute. This victory also marked the Pride’s first-ever road win against the Reign.
Head Coach Seb Hines praised the team’s performance and resilience, particularly their ability to regain the lead after Seattle's equalizer early in the second half. The Pride’s win extends their streak to seven games, tying a record set by the Reign in the 2014 season and highlighting the team’s impressive form this year.
