Seattle Sounders x LA Galaxy
The match between the Seattle Sounders and LA Galaxy ended in a scoreless draw at Lumen Field, with both teams unable to find the back of the net despite several opportunities throughout the game.
In the first half, chances were scarce, with neither side able to capitalize on their limited opportunities. One of the best chances came from a free kick for the Sounders in the 32nd minute, but Cristian Roldan's shot sailed over the crossbar.
The Galaxy had a chance early in the second half, but Stefan Frei made a comfortable save to deny Miguel Berry's shot. Seattle had their own opportunities, with Ruidíaz and João Paulo testing Galaxy goalkeeper John McCarthy.
Frei made a crucial save in the 76th minute, denying Diego Fagúndez with a diving stop to preserve the clean sheet. Despite some late chances for Seattle, including a shot from Léo Chú that went over the bar, and another attempt from Ruidíaz that went wide, neither team could break the deadlock.
The match saw Seattle earn their fourth clean sheet of the season, showcasing their defensive solidity. With Alex Roldan suspended, Cristian Roldan shifted to cover for his brother at right wingback, while teenage midfielder Obed Vargas made a start on the wing, demonstrating the team's versatility and adaptability in the lineup.
