Seattle Sounders x FC Dallas

The Seattle Sounders mounted an incredible comeback to defeat FC Dallas 3-2 at Lumen Field on Saturday night, overturning a 2-0 deficit in the second half. Dallas initially took the lead with goals from Patrickson Delgado and Petar Musa in the 66th and 70th minutes, respectively. However, the Sounders responded with a goal from Raúl Ruidíaz in the 78th minute and a brace from Jordan Morris, who scored in the 88th minute and again in stoppage time, securing all three points for Seattle.

The match began with the Sounders on the front foot, creating early chances. João Paulo had the first opportunity in the eighth minute, narrowly missing the far post with a left-footed shot. He came close again in the 16th minute, hitting the near post from 25 yards out. Albert Rusnák also tested Dallas goalkeeper Maarten Paes in the 36th minute with a shot that required a diving save. Despite Seattle's early pressure, it was Dallas who struck first, with Logan Farrington setting up Delgado for a sliding finish at the far post. Musa then doubled the lead, finishing a slip pass in the box with a left-footed shot that Stefan Frei couldn't keep out.

The Sounders responded with intensity. In the 77th minute, Rusnák forced another save from Paes, but a minute later, Ruidíaz scored a powerful header from a Rusnák cross to halve the deficit. The momentum continued as Morris equalized in the 88th minute, heading in from a Rusnák corner. The dramatic winner came in stoppage time when Morris latched onto a through ball from Obed Vargas, finishing at the near post to complete the stunning turnaround.

This victory extended FC Dallas' winless streak at Lumen Field, which dates back to 2011, and left them still searching for their first road win of the season (0-7-3). The Sounders, meanwhile, have shown resilience, overcoming a two-goal deficit for the second time in four days, following their midweek draw in Houston. Seattle now prepares for the remaining matches in their three-game homestand, facing the Chicago Fire and the New England Revolution in the coming weeks.
