OL REIGN x KANSAS CITY
After a long, chaotic week in which their former head coach decided to step down the day before the match against the Houston Dash, the OL Reign returned to Cheney Stadium to face Kansas City.
After a full week of training focused on individual performances, OL Reign forward Bethany Balcer scored her first two professional goals as part of the team's collective effort in a 2-0 win over Kansas City.
From the first kick to the final whistle, OL Reign appeared to be on track for strong team performance, but a straight red card to goalkeeper Sarah Bouhaddi for denying a goal-scoring opportunity reduced the team to 10 players for the final 20 minutes of the game. Despite the disadvantage, the OL Reign were able to maintain their cool and secure a much-needed victory.
